I have been looking for a carry load that uses the Barnes TAC-XP bullet, and this DPX version from Cor-Bon is almost perfect. It offers above average performance in the velocity, penetration and expansion categories, and is comfortable to shoot out of about any .45 ACP handgun. If there is a downside, it's the muzzle flash. Though not overly severe, it was noticeable. Interestingly, even though the velocity was nearly identical to the DoubleTap load, which uses the same bullet (and will be covered here next week), the Cor-Bon load's average recovered diameter was more than a .1 inch larger than the DoubleTap load.
