Remington bonds the jacket and core of the Golden Saber bullet together to help it retain its expanded shape and weight after penetrating various barriers commonly encountered in police shootings. Its Bonded load in the most popular bullet weight for the .45 ACP—230 grains—will penetrate on average to 13.5 inches and expand more than 1.5 times its original diameter.

The Bonded Golden Saber line of ammunition is a law enforcement-only product, which is not sold direct to civilians, but it can easily be found for purchase on the Internet and is perfectly legal to own in most jurisdictions.
