"When the original Elite Lightweight Pant was designed, the assumption was that it must accommodate a thick duty belt," said Jerry Rinder, Woolrich Elite Series vice president. "This led to an overly high waistline, which few women found flattering."

This input, coupled with the experience gained through decades of adjustment in Woolrich's sportswear catalog, has led to the revised Elite Lightweight Pant.

"We started by lowering the waist to match that of one of our most popular women's pants," Rinder said. "We tried that out with some female testers and found that we needed to go even lower."

In addition to adjusting the cut, the new Elite Lightweight Pant is made from a polyester ripstop blended with a stretch fabric. The end result is a tactical pant that fits well and has superior durability, but moves with the wearer and allows for dynamic movement.

Thigh mounted pockets will accept a 30-round AR15 magazine, and side-leg bellowed cargo pockets feature AR magazine loops. Elastic loops in the front pockets keep pistol magazines, flashlights, chemical sprays and knives securely held at a 45-degree angle for fast, easy deployment.

Available in khaki, the Elite Lightweight Pant for women is offered in sizes 4-18, with a standard 32" leg length. Become a fan of Woolrich Elite Series Tactical on Facebook
