The Century International Arms Centurion 39 Sporter is one of the first 100-percent American-made AK-47s available to consumers. It boasts a quad-rail fore-end for mounting optics and accessories, making it ideal for the modern shooter.
An adjustable rear sight allows for both elevation and windage tuning, but the author would have preferred it to be mounted on the rear of the receiver to increase the AK’s notoriously short sights radius.
The Centurion’s red, polymer front sight post is easier to acquire than traditional iron posts and is well shielded by the Kalashnikov-style wings. It appears to turn black when the sights are properly aligned, providing shooters instant feedback.
