Officers of the U.S. Marshals Service in the Minnesota District are beginning use of the GOSAFE Mobile Safes the agency contracted to purchase late last year. The devices are an efficient solution for off-person security of firearms when standard vaults are not available, employing a magazine-based design that fits select Glock pistols.

“The daily life of law enforcement professionals at every level is one that varies dramatically and often includes trips to courthouses, correctional facilities or other places where they cannot carry a service weapon,” said GOSAFE co-founder Mark Geist.

The devices are currently available in two options—the GOSAFE Mobile Safe, which cannot be loaded, and the cartridge-compatible GOSAFE Mobile Mag. Both feature a unique, high-security key and fit all holsters versions. The company’s current offerings work with all generations of Glock—Glock 17 fits 19X, G34 and G45 and the Glock 19 fits G19—but additional models are scheduled for release in the future.

Available to the civilian market and law enforcement agencies, both the Mobile Safe and Mobile Mag fit safely and securely inside the firearm, in the same manner as OEM magazines. With the firearm locked in GOSAFE mode, there is no possibility of unauthorized use. The patented technology allows gun owners and professionals to go from loaded to ready whenever and wherever they are.

“We are excited to be working with law enforcement agencies like the U.S. Marshals Service and many others as they go through their testing and evaluation process with GOSAFE products,” said Mike Vrooman, general manager of GOSAFE. “Major agency adoptions like these are a testament to the durability and functionality of GOSAFE and we look forward to announcing additional agency purchases from around the world that are currently being finalized.”

GOSAFE products are available on the company website, as well as Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s stores nationwide.
