Shoot United has announced it is conducting more than 20 events at different shooting ranges across the nation in 2023. The program’s focus is introducing participants to the shooting sports and responsible firearm education. The organization’s schedule this year is expanded significantly in response to last year’s effort attendance, requests and positive feedback from newcomers to the sport.

“Shoot United range events are designed to attract people who would like to take the first step in learning about firearms at their own pace,” said Jason Gilbertson, director of marketing for Shoot United. “We’re partnering with some outstanding ranges and educated trainers to create experiences that are turnkey. The opportunities through the range-event program are an extremely important component of Shoot United.”

Shoot United is dedicated to providing individuals with an opportunity to learn and ask questions of knowledgeable firearm instructors in a welcoming environment, while having fun with friends and family and receiving a supportive hands-on experience. Shooting Illustrated attended one of the organization’s events last year and comments from attendees—who ranged from first-time shooters to experienced marksmen accompanying newcomers for support—were unanimously positive.

Shoot United is an initiative designed to promote all that’s wholesome and healthful about the shooting sports and responsible firearm ownership. The mission is to drive awareness and activate new participants to the sport by sharing engaging and educational content as well as providing resources where people can learn how to participate in the shooting sports.

The organization is holding three events in April—a pair of Intro to Pistol gatherings (Michigan and Illinois) and an Intro to Rifle (Colorado). There is no charge to attend, each are conducted by experienced instructors and fully staffed with range safety officers.
