Based on the company's Special Forces SR model, the SOCOM Edition 1911 from Ed Brown Products honors the men and women serving in the United States Special Operations Command. Hand-built using fully machined components and loaded with features, the SOCOM Edition is built to handle extreme conditions and has everything you need for serious performance.

“Our Special Forces pistols have been leading the industry for decades,” says Ed Brown Sales and Marketing Director John May, “I am so pleased to be able to offer the SOCOM Edition to pay homage to the great men and women of the Special Operations Command. The SOCOM Edition is another example of us listening to our customers and pushing the boundaries of the custom 1911 market. If you have not looked at Ed Brown in a while, it’s time to look again.”

The slide on the pistol is finished in black Gen 4 coating, contrasting the FDE Gen 4 coated lower, and features American Flag rear cocking serrations. The SOCOM edition has an integrated Trijicon RMR with hard-anodized coyote brown finish which matches well with the FDE Gen4 coating package and has co-witnessed iron sights. The Trijicon RMR is fitting for this pistol, as the RMR was selected by SOCOM for the Handgun Reflex Sight (HRS) contract after extensive testing, which showed that the RMR Type 2 is uniquely reliable and durable in handgun applications.

An integral light rail allows for the attachment of your choice of accessory, and the pistol also features a one-piece magwell that is contoured to match perfectly with the VZ Alien grips. The SOCOM Edition comes with a Black Nitride, suppressor-ready barrel and special-edition FDE thread protector. The thumb safety is shaped for shooting comfort and, when combined with a Tactical Edge slide stops, provides the ultimate in strength and longevity. The slide is finished with “SOCOM” engraving on the left side of the slide, and each pistol includes two eight-round Ed Brown Black Nitride Performance Magazines.

MSRP on Ed Brown SOCOM Edition 1911 is $4295, and more information is available at edbrown.com.
