New from CZ-USA for 2019, the BREN 2 Ms Pistol shares the same look as the service rifle for the Czech military. However, the Bren 2 Ms Pistol is a “clean-sheet design,” integrating a modular fore-end that provides a more-streamlined profile while still allowing for easy accessory attachment. The BREN 2 Ms is much lighter than its predecessor, using a trimmed-down aluminum receiver with a lower half made from carbon fiber-reinforced polymer. This weight reduction results in a robust and reliable firearm that is substantially handier and more-easily carried than earlier versions.
The reciprocating charging handle on previous models of the BREN is gone, replaced with a handle that stays in place until it’s needed. The handle also doubles as a forward assist.
CZ-USA has also added is an ambidextrous AR-style bolt catch/release system along with an ambidextrous safety, making it easy to use for shooters used to the operation of the AR-15 platform.
