In 2018, Kahr Firearms Group aimed to honor a range of different groups who have either provided remarkable service or continue to serve and protect today. With the introduction of the company's "Thin Blue Line" PM9 pistol model, Kahr pays homage to law-enforcement officers who continue to protect citizens across the country, putting their lives at risk every day.

"At Kahr Firearms Group, we have a deep appreciation of the sacrifices made by the law enforcement community," said Jodi DePorter, director of marketing. "We offer this product as a show of support and strength for those men and women in blue."

In the development of the all-new Kahr "Thin Blue Line" PM9, the company worked with its Law Enforcement Pro Staff and developed what they felt was a fitting firearm that encapsulated the service and sacrifice of police officers and agencies across America. The pistol itself was blackened, with the frame, slide, barrel and all other exposed parts finished in a dark Armor Black Cerakote finish, which also provides increased durability and protection against wear and corrosion.

To finish out the gun, a thin, blue line runs around the slide. Other special features on this model of the PM9 include factory-installed TruGlo Tactical Night Sights, and each pistol ships with two flush-fit six-round magazines and one seven-round extended magazine. Like all the metal parts on the gun, the magazines have all been treated with a blackened finish.

The Kahr PM9 "Thin Blue Line" PM9, like the company's other PM9 models, is equipped with a 3.1-inch barrel complete with a polygonally rifled barrel with a 1:10-inch twist rate. The pistol uses a double-action-only firing system built on a locked-breech mechanism featuring a Browning-style recoil lug. Each pistol is equipped with a striker-blocking safety and has no magazine disconnect. The overall length of the gun is 5.42 inches, height is 4.0 inches and the gun measures in at 0.90-inch wide. The suggested retail price on the "Thin Blue Line" PM9 is $899.
