In recent years, several firearm manufacturers introduced several options in the all-new, non-NFA, shotshell-firing firearm market, but all of these options operated with a pump-action system that slowed the rate of fire and limited close-range utility on these guns. With the Black Aces Tactical Pro Series S Shockwave Semi, consumers now have an affordable, semi-automatic firearm allowing a more-rapid rate of fire combined with the short, overall length made possible by the Shockwave-style pistol grip.

“Black Aces Tactical has been working for months, quietly, behind the scenes, to develop a No-NFA/ No-AOW semi-automatic Shockwave that is capable of running both low and high brass reliably," said Eric Lemoine, owner of Black Aces Tactical. "Our parameters include, first and foremost, a non-NFA classification. There is no way around it. Our customers demand the non-NFA classification. Next, the weapon has to be affordable. When customers think “Shockwave," immediately what comes to mind is an affordable weapon. A $1,000, non-NFA weapon simply will not do.”

Each Black Aces Tactical Pro Series S Shockwave Semi is built on a receiver machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and is equipped with a 14-inch barrel. The overall length of the gun measures in at 26.5 inches. Feeding from a magazine tube running underneath the barrel, the semi-automatic Shockwave holds up to five rounds total, including one in the chamber. The operating system in the new gun is designed to run both lighter field loads as well as heavier self-defense loads. The firearm is chambered in 12 gauge and features a 3-inch chamber and is equipped with a cross-bolt safety at the rear of the trigger guard, as well as a bolt release located on the right side of the receiver.

Two furniture options are available in the new semi-automatic Shockwave lineup, one with all-black, synthetic Shockwave grip and textured fore-end. A wood-stocked model is also available, with a Shockwave-style angled pistol grip and fore-end carved from walnut wood. The suggested retail price on the synthetic-stocked Black Aces Tactical Pro Series S Shockwave Semi is $449, while the walnut-stocked model retails for slightly more, at $574. Both models are slated for launch in November 2018.
