One of the new items creating a buzz at the NRA 144th Annual Meetings and Events last week in Nashville, TN, was the new Magpul PMag17. Produced to the same precision engineering standards as the company's excellent PMags for the AR-15 and AK-47 platforms, these magazines are in demand.

A new, proprietary all-polymer construction, the PMag17 continues Magpul's legendary ruggedness and reliability. It has a stainless steel spring, an easily removable floor plate (really!), a matrix for marking and a full magazine indicator window built into the design. It is engineered to drop free whether the magazine is loaded or unloaded.

It's evident that the PMag17s are made to exact tolerances for Glock magazines, as getting the last two rounds into a new magazine proved to be a test of finger strength. Loading the magazine to capacity was accomplished without need for loaders, although—as with every other magazine out there, especially double-stacks—having a speedloader like the Maglula makes life better.
