With no increase from the 2011 prices for VX-II riflescopes, VX-2 has a number of new features including Leupold's exclusive Quantum Optical System™, which is specially designed to make the most of available light.

"VX-2 takes this class of riflescopes to another level," said Pat Mundy, communications manager for Leupold & Stevens, Inc. "Hunters and shooters can expect superior performance and quality that helps them be successful in the field, at close or long ranges, under most any conditions."

The Quantum Optical System is tailored specifically for VX-2, and includes lead-free, precision-ground and edge blackened lenses with Leupold's exclusive Index Matched lens coatings for superior resolution, clarity and contrast. Carefully positioned in optimum relationship to each other, the lenses deliver up to 94 percent total light transmission. Exterior lens surfaces with DiamondCoat™ resist abrasion.

Other key features are an externally threaded fast-focus eyepiece and finger-adjustable, 1/4-MOA (one cm on German #4 reticle models) click windage and elevation dials that enable quick, easy zeroing. Select VX-2 models are available with Custom Dial System (CDS) elevation dials or high-profile target adjustment knobs for long-range shooting precision.

An all-new one-inch maintube features an advanced power selector design incorporating a tactile power indicator and easy-to-read numbers. Leupold's second-generation waterproofing utilizes an exclusive Argon/Krypton gas blend that resists thermal shock and ensures a fog-free image.

VX-2 riflescopes come with a variety of reticle and finish options for different hunting styles, game and ranges. Leupold's exclusive Ballistics Aiming System® reticle options for hunters include the LR Duplex® and LRV Duplex®. VX-2 magnifications include 1-4x20mm, 2-7x33mm, 3-9x40mm, 3-9x50mm, 4-12x40mm and 4-12x50mm. For parallax adjustment control, there are also 4-12x40mm Adjustable Objective, 6-18x40mm Adjustable Objective and 6-18x40mm Adjustable Objective Target models. In addition, Ultralight™ and Rimfire models are offered.

VX-2 riflescopes have modern, sleek lines and sport a stylish gold-plated Leupold medallion. Each comes with a protective cover. Suggested retail prices range from $300 to $600.

Built for rugged use and years of service, VX-2 is covered by Leupold's Full Lifetime Guarantee. For more information, visit a local dealer, go to www.leupold.com or call 1-800-LEUPOLD.
