As a result of its collaboration with Magpul, Ruger released its latest handgun design, the RXM, which makes use of a serialized chassis that Ruger calls its "Fire Control Insert." The new design is modular, and the chassis-style design means that different grip modules will be made available in the future. The design borrows many elements from the Glock G19 Gen3, making certain components, such as the magazine release, slide-stop lever and sights, compatible with Glock-pattern parts. Best of all, the new pistol is optic-ready, featuring a milled slide capable of accepting red-dot optics of the Trijicon RMR, Shield RMSc and Leupold DeltaPoint Pro footprints.

"The RXM is the result of a tremendous collaboration between two of the most respected brands in the industry,” said Ruger President and CEO Chris Killoy. "Loaded with upgraded features, superior ergonomics, and at a price that leaves room for further customization, this American-made handgun is destined to become the best in its class."

Magpul’s Executive Vice President, Duane Liptak, added “Magpul and Ruger are two of the most renowned brands in the firearms space, with each bringing a unique perspective to this project: Ruger, with its skill at making high-quality guns at very accessible prices, and Magpul, with its performance-improvement-focused accessories. This collaboration has allowed both companies to flex their creative muscles, resulting in a firearm that provides superior features, function, and value.”
