Tactical shotgun training outfit Symtac Consulting LLC is teaming up with Vang Comp Systems to deliver a limited run of 30 Remington 870 12-gauge pump action shotguns fully customized and treated with Vang Comp’s industry leading shotgun enhancements. Since its original release in 1950 the Remington 870 has become one of the most popular and best-known pump-action shotguns in the United States. Although pump-action technology is nothing new, the Remington 870 also shows no signs of slowing down. A total of 30 shotguns will be produced for this limited run; three groups of 10 shotguns will have a Cerakote finish in either Flat Dark Earth, Green or Black.
Vang Comp Systems is best known for their treatment to shotgun barrels that serves to increase shotgun accuracy and consistency. Shotgun barrels with this treatment typically deliver tighter patterns at all effective distances as compared to standard factory barrels. Being a full-service shop, Vang Comp also painstakingly inspected every square inch of these limited release Remington 870 shotguns. Their barrels are ported, internal parts are smoothed out and polished, and factory components such as safety bars and followers are replaced with Vang Comp’s own improved, aftermarket versions.
Symtac Consulting is a firearm-training company run by a father and son duo, Rob and Matt Haught, who are best known for teaching innovative defensive-shotgun techniques such as their well-known “push-pull” method of recoil mitigation. They travel around the country periodically doing two-day classes and shooting clinics.
