Taurus 650 Revolver

Taurus USA has just unveiled the new Taurus 650, a compact, double-action-only (DAO) revolver that holds five rounds of .357 Mag. ammunition. In many ways the new Taurus 650 is similar to its sibling, the compact framed .357 Mag. Taurus 605. The difference is that the new 650’s frame has a different shape and a true concealed, internal hammer, while the 650’s compact frame is best described as having a “Centennial” profile. At the time of their launch, there were four different Taurus 650 variants. These new revolvers are available with either a matte black or stainless-steel finish and two- or three-inch barrels. The front sight, like every other Taurus compact revolver front sight, is held in place by a roll pin which makes it extremely easy to upgrade.

As a revolver chambered for .357 Mag, the new Taurus 650 revolver can also safely fire and handle all .38 Spl. and .38 Spl. +P loads, an aspect that provides flexibility in different cartridge and load selections for different people. The revolver combines a smooth DAO trigger pull with an internal shrouded hammer to provide quick deployment in critical situations. This makes it an excellent choice for everyday carry and allows the revolver to be fired from pocket concealment without fouling or jamming the action.

"This is the ultimate expression of what my friend Darryl Bolke refers to as 'the snubby lifestyle',” said Caleb Giddings, Manager of Marketing, Taurus USA. "Some people want a simple, reliable DAO revolver they can carry every day, and this gun answers that need perfectly."

The new Taurus 650 has a starting retail price of $455. Visit taurususa.com to learn more about this revolver as well as other firearms and accessories made by Taurus USA.
