Tactical Solutions added a new holster offering to its product lineup, designed to provide a compact, lightweight carry option for owners of any Ruger Mark Series rimfire handgun. The Tactical Solutions TacSol Pac Lite holster enables them to carry any model gun into the field for hunting or to keep it secure on their person at the range.

"There's no other holster on the market that has the features of our Pac-Lite holster," Tactical Solutions Sales Manager Amy Shaw said. "They have been a top-selling accessory for us for the past several years, and we're looking forward to selling even more of them now that they fit the Mark IV in addition to all the other models."

From the original Ruger Mark I all the way up to Ruger's revolutionary Mark IV redesign introduced in 2016, the Tactical Solutions Pac Lite holster fits every model in the lineup. The holster is even compatible with Ruger's 22/45 Mark Series handguns, designed to offer shooters the same ergonomics as the popular 1911 handgun in order to provide a better training solution with inexpensive rimfire ammo.

The holster features an open-top design that allows users to safely and securely holster Mark Series handguns equipped with an optic. The rig is fully ambidextrous and uses an adjustable-retention screw that enables owners to fine-tune their personal Pac Lite rig to their retention preferences. Models are available in both low- and high-ride designs.

The Tactical Solutions Pac Lite holster is constructed from injection-molded, high-impact nylon and includes integral belt loops designed to fit belts measuring up to 2 inches wide. Spec-wise, the holster measures 8 inches long by 1.5 inches wide and weighs in at 7.2 ounces. The holster design also features an open-bottom design that allows for the use of long-barreled models and rimfire pistols equipped with suppressors. The open bottom also allows for the use of aftermarket compensators designed to mitigate recoil.

The Tactical Solutions Pac Lite holster for Ruger Mark Series rimfire pistols is available only in a black finish. The suggested retail price on the holster is $40.

Review: Smith & Wesson Shield Plus

In retrospect, Smith & Wesson had nobody to blame for the situation but themselves. The company didn’t invent the subcompact, lightweight, single-stack nine, of course. Walther and Beretta had preceded the original Shield to market by a few years with the PPS and the Nano, respectively, and Kahr had more or less created the niche back in the 1990s.
