Standard Manufacturing made waves in the firearms world with the introduction of its Golden-Bullseye winning double-barreled pump shotgun, the DP-12, which allows users to fire two shots with each pump of the slide. Now, the company is showing off more of its creative ingenuity with the launch of its Case-Colored 1911 pistol.

The Case-Colored 1911 is built using a carbon-steel frame and slide, which are both forged and then CNC-machined for precision tolerances. Both the frame and slide feature the company's "bone-and-charcoal" case-colored finish, a unique, high-polish look that brings a heightened level of aesthetics to the 1911 platform. Other features of the gun include a 5-inch match-grade barrel made from stainless steel, as well as rosewood grips cut with double-diamond checkering.

Other features of the gun include an ejection port that has been lowered and flared to provide ultimate reliability in case ejection, as well as rear slide serrations that give the gun a classic look while affording users a more tactile gripping surface to rack the slide. The gun also features a flat mainspring housing and a checkered front strap that provides owners with a grip that won't loosen during firing.

The Standard Manufacturing Case-Colored 1911 also features desirable extras, such as an upswept beavertail grip safety and an extended magazine release that provides for improved function during high-stress shooting. The gun also features an extended thumb safety and slide stop designed for tactical use as well as a rear sight with a forward-facing ledge that allows shooters to rack the gun off any surface if their support hand is impaired, ensuring that the pistol will function superbly as a fighting gun while looking like a presentation piece.

Inside of the gun, the company put in place a solid match-grade trigger along with what it calls an "enhanced machined hammer," which works to provide owners with a trigger pull that measures 4.5 pounds. The company also offers engraved versions of its 1911 pistol, as well as models with blued and stainless-steel finishes. The suggested retail price for the Standard Manufacturing Case-Colored 1911 is $1,595.
