Chiappa Rhino 30DS X

Chiappa Firearms has unveiled a new stainless-steel .357 Magnum revolver, the Chiappa Rhino 30DS X. As part of the Chiappa Rhino family of revolvers, it has an alternative architecture with the barrel and forcing cone being located at the bottom cylinder instead of the traditional top position seen on most other revolvers. One of the benefits of this alternative barrel setup is that it helps to reduce and diminish muzzle flip as the axis of the bore is more inline with the upper portion of the grip. This is in contrast to a standard revolver whose bore axis sits above the grip area.

Going along with the Chiappa 30DS X’s unconventional layout is its unique and futuristic looking styling, with the chamfers cut into the off-square cylinder to the “rib” that supports the front sight and sits over the barrel itself, with the hammer and grip also having their own angular style.

The new Chiappa 30DS X has a 3-inch barrel and a six-shot cylinder, fully stainless-steel construction and weighs in at 43.84 ounces.
