Springfield Armory Echelon With Manual Safety

Springfield Armory is releasing a version of the Echelon 4.5F 9mm pistol with a manual safety. The new pistol adds another option to this popular line of fully ambidextrous pistol that represent a new chapter in Springfield Armory’s history of striker-fired duty pistols.

The manual safety of the new Echelon variant is mounted on the rear of the frame. In addition to being ambidextrous and easy to engage and disengage, the safety also has texturing that matches the texturing found on the rest of the pistol. The result is an ergonomic design that adds an additional layer of safety to an already extremely safe and durable pistol.

The Echelon pistol is a highly adaptable and capable full-size, duty-grade 9mm pistol. The heart of the Echelon is the patent-pending Central Operating Group, a self-contained and serialized stainless-steel chassis that holds the trigger and is considered to be the actual firearm. This results in a system that can be easily moved between available grip modules. In addition to this, the slide on the Echelon uses the Variable Interface System, which employs patent-pending self-locking pins that can be positioned to direct-mount more than 30 of today’s most popular pistol optics with a minimum amount of fuss and bother.

“Since its launch in July of 2023, the Echelon has proven itself as a thoroughly capable and innovative 9mm pistol,” said Steve Kramer, Vice President of Marketing for Springfield Armory. “With this new manual safety variant of the design, the Echelon has added yet another option for those looking for an unparalleled duty-grade pistol.”

Also on the slide of the Echelon are U-Dot tritium/luminescent sights, and inside you’ll find a hammer-forged 4.5-inch barrel for accuracy. The 9mm Echelon ships with one 17 and one 20-round magazine. In addition, both 15-round and 10-round variants are offered for areas with magazine capacity restrictions.

MSRP of all three versions of the 9mm Echelon 4.5F pistol with manual safety is $679, and more information on this pistol and other products from Springfield Armory is available at springfield-armory.com
