First Look: Sightron S-TAC 1-4.5x24 SR1 Service Riflescope

Sightron is now selling the S-TAC 1-4.5x24 SR1 Service Riflescope, a new second-focal-plane (SFP). low-power variable optic, or LPVO. The reticle in the S-TAC consists of an etched-wire, 9-MOA circle that surrounds a single precise ½-MOA aiming point. This new riflescope was designed and engineered to perform in competitive rifle disciplines like the Civilian Marksmanship Program’s Service Rifle and the National Rifle Association High Power Rifle competitions. These shooting disciplines have various targets at distances from 100 all the way to 600 yards, with competitors take shots in varying positions like offhand, kneeling, and prone shooting positions. Points and time limits vary depending on specific shots taken.
