Shivworks clinch pick 2.0

Shivworks Products Group LLC, the retail arm of the influential defensive and scenario-based training company headed by Craig Douglas, has released a new version of their popular Clinch Pick defensive blade, the Clinch Pick 2.0. The new Clinch Pick 2.0 differs from the original with a handle that has been re-profiled to be slightly flatter to be ergonomic than the original and proie . According to Mr. Douglas, customers will also have the option to buy their Clinch Pick 2.0 with a double-edged option in the near future.

Clinch Pick 2.0 Specifications:

  • Blade built from Sandvik 12C7 steel with a single reverse edge and satin finish
  • Overall Length: 5 ½ inches
  • Blade Length: 2 5/8 inches
  • Newly designed G-10 handle with flat texturing
  • Includes new and improved 2-hole sheath with industry standard PTD (Pull The Pot) soft loops

Clinch Pick blades are small and concealable defensive-use only blades with a reverse edge that are generally carried near or on the centerline of the waist in order to be quickly and easily accessed by either hand. This quick access is especially vital in entanglements where an assailant has overwhelmed or rushed the carrier. The idea is for this small blade to be accessed by either hand at any angle to “create space” and break contact with the assailant. The context and the use of these blades dovetails nicely with the curriculum that Mr. Douglas and his cadre of instructors are well known for teaching. Their collective expertise lies in defensive tactics around extremely close quarters. (Or ECQC—or extremely close quarters concepts, as they refer to it). With several decades of real-world experience, Shivworks instructors are expertly qualified to teach their clients the use of handguns, long guns, blades and empty-hand skills at “bad breath” distances.

The new Clinch Pick 2.0 retails for $121and is now available for sale. For more information on the new Clinch Pick 2.0 and other defensive products sold by Shivworks Products Group LLC, please visit their website at shivworkspg.com.
