Savage Arms' new Renegauge Competition shotgun builds on the American-made 12 gauge’s success and adds some new elements specifically designed to give the platform a competitive edge. The extended magazine tube increases capacity to a full 10 rounds. The barrel is finished with Melonite, while the receiver, magazine tube and Extended Skeet2 Light Modified Choke are finished in Cerakote.

The Savage Renegauge Competition shotgun features the DRIV gas system (Dual Regulating Inline Valve) gas system which ensures excess gas vents before it drives the bolt, resulting in consistent ejection, less felt recoil, and a lightning fast cyclic rate for dependably fast split times. The shotgun has a 9+1 magazine tube as standard and has a matte black adjustable stock for length of pull, comb height, drop and cast.

Inside, there is a one-piece, chrome plated action bar assembly, along with chrome plated reciprocating components for reliability and a rod buffer in the stock to reduce felt recoil. The barrel is fluted to save weight, with a melonite finish for durability. On top of the barrel is a carbon steel ventilated rib that sports red Hi-Viz Tri-Comp front sight for fast target acquisition. The magazine port has been designed with fast reloads in mind, and the oversized controls help you keep your gun running smoothly while you’re shooting a match. The Renegauge Competition ships with an Extended Skeet2 Light Mod Choke (.015 inch) and uses chokes compatible with Beretta or Benelli shotguns.
