Riton 3 Tactix Magnifier

Riton Optics has just unveiled the new 3 Tactix 3X Magnifier, a shooting aid meant to add a degree of versatility to most modern sporting rifle or carbine mounted 1X reflex/red-dot sights by providing more magnification for more distant targets. Riton Optics designed this magnifier, which is in essence a “blank” prismatic scope, to sit on a pivoting cradle so that shooters can keep the functionality of their standard red-dot sight. Optical magnifiers are intended to fill in the gap between basic electronic red-dot sights and full-featured LPVO (low-power variable optic) riflescopes.

“When we first started testing, the field of view we were able to get immediately stood out. The ease of use is great. The design is solid. Where we think people will really see a difference from other magnifiers they’ve used is in that field of view,” said Chris Varas, assistant director of product research and development at Riton.

The Riton 3 Tactix 3X Magnifier weighs in at just under 8 ounces, providing a great deal of platform flexibility, without adding weight and bulk that can negatively affect you in the field. This new model has also been engineered to include a smoother user experience that reduces the tunnel vision effect of other similar optical magnifiers with a better and improved field of view.
