MicroVision Optical, a San Diego, CA, based designer and eyewear manufacturer is now launching Parallel Eyewear, a new outdoor-oriented sunglasses brand intended for both men and women who are serious about the outdoors.

Microvision Optical has been in the outdoors eyewear space for over 20 years, with expertise in the implementation and design side of the house and also in the manufacturing and distribution part of this industry. The new Parallel Eyewear brand offers a full selection of outdoor oriented eyewear with technically superior design aspects built into their polarized and non polarized lenses. Parallel Eyewear frames are made from eco-friendly bio plastic and are offered in a wide variety of colors and styles.

Parallel Eyewear’s product line uses proprietary lens and frame technology that was originally developed for some of the world’s largest and best-known sunglasses brands. Now, MicroVision Optical and Parallel Eyewear are shifting their product know-how and technical experience and implementing it exclusively for their own products. The founder and CEO of Parallel Eyewear, David Johnson, is a lifelong fly fisherman who has been in the eyewear business for over two decades. Likewise, the core management team of Parallel Eyewear is composed of serious outdoor sports and activities enthusiasts with strong opinions about how their products are best suited to enjoy the outdoors.
