Rossi 45-70 lever action

Rossi Firearms has just added two new variants to its R95 family of lever action rifles and carbines, the Rossi R95 45-70 Triple Black and the Rossi R95 45-70 Laminate.

Rossi R95 Triple Black

The Rossi R95 Triple Black 45-70 Gov't lever-action carbine sports a 16.5-inch barrel and holds five cartridges in its tubular magazine. Festooned in an all-black look, this model comes with a threaded muzzle cut with industry standard ⅝x24 tpi that can accommodate suppressors or other muzzle devices. The receiver is outfitted with user-adjustable front and rear sights and also features a section of Picatinny rail to facilitate the mounting of optics. While it could be easy to mistake its black furniture set for synthetic polymer, it’s actually made from wood. The edge of the lever loop is wrapped with paracord to cushion the shooter’s knuckles against the hard edge of the metal loop.

Rossi R95 45-70 Laminate

The Rossi R95 45-70 Laminate lever action carbine has a more contemporary look with its silver finished stainless steel receiver and barrel and grey laminate wooden furniture set. Like the Rossi R95 Triple Black, the Laminate version also includes a threaded muzzle and an optics-ready Picatinny rail section on top of the receiver. The lever loop on this model is also wrapped with paracord to cushion the shooter’s knuckles. Compared to the R95 Triple Black, this rifle has a slightly longer 18-inch barrel.

Rossi R95 Shared Specifications:

  • Caliber: 45-70 Gov't
  • Barrel Length: 16.5 inches for the Triple Black, 18 inches for the Laminate
  • Overall Length: 35.5 inches for Triple Black, 37.5 inches for Laminate
  • Overall Weight: 6 pounds, 11 ounces for the Triple Black, 6 pounds, 13 ounces for the Laminate
