Mossberg MVP Patrol Professional Series

The Professional Series of shotguns and rifles from Mossberg have an enhanced assembly and quality control process, along with special finishes and features that make them optimized for performance. Joining this lineup are the new MVP Patrol Professional Series bolt-action rifles. These new rifles are compatible with AR pattern magazines and aree available in 5.56 NATO/223 Rem, 300 Blk and 7.62mm NATO/308 Win.

Introduced in 2011, the Mossberg MVP bolt-action rifle combined the features of Mossberg’s bolt-action platform with patented designs that allow the rifle to accept and reliably feed from AR15 style magazines, a first in bolt-action rifles. The 5.56 NATO and 300 AAC Blackout models feature a patented Drop Push bolt design for reliably feeding from AR15-style magazines and the 7.62mm version has a patented Dual Push bolt design and patented Dual Latch system which accepts both M1A/M14 and AR10-style magazines.

The MVP Patrol Professional Series rifles feature 16.25-inch medium bull, button-rifled and threaded barrel with A2-style muzzle brake and includes a protective thread cap. The stock is pillar-bedded for accuracy and there is an over-sized bolt handle for firm grip. Mossberg’s LBA Trigger System is user-adjustable from 3 to 7 pounds. The factory-mounted Picatinny rail allows for the easy addition of optics and there are adjustable fiber optic rifle sights. Completing the MVP Patrol package is a textured, black synthetic stock that features stippling on the pistol grip, sling swivel studs and a 10-round Magpul PMag for either 5.56 NATO and 7.62mm NATO or an aluminum magazine for 300 Blk.

All the rifles in the Mossberg MVP Patrol Professional Series have an MSRP of $829. Visit mossberg.com for more information on the MVP Patrol and the complete line of Professional Series firearms, as well as other products manufactured by Mossberg.
