MVP bolt action rifle

The convenience of using AR-pattern magazines in a bolt-action rifle make the MVP rifle lineup a great choice for target shooting, hunting, home defense and plinking. Now O.F. Mossberg & Sons, Inc. is expanding their MVP Patrol bolt-action rifle series with a new rifle chambered in .300 AAC Blackout (.300 BLK). This new rifle joins the 5.56 NATO/.223 Rem. and 7.62 NATO/.308 Win. models in line of multi-purpose MVP rifles.

The MVP Patrol .300 BLK is designed to be a versatile, all-purpose platform and is a great choice at the range or in the field. The .300 BLK delivers greater penetration and better terminal performance than the 5.56 mm NATO/.223 Rem. cartridge. The superior ballistics make this intermediate rifle cartridge effective for mid to large-sized game such as deer, hog and black bear.

The MVP Patrol rifles have a patented design that can accept and reliably-feed from both AR-15-style magazines in the .300 BLK and 5.56 mm models, and M1A/M14 and AR-10-style magazines in the 7.62 mm model. The .300 BLK model has a 16.25-inch medium bull, button-rifled and threaded barrel with A2-style muzzle brake and a protective thread cap. The stock is pillar-bedded, and there is an over-sized bolt handle for quick cycling of the action.

Mossberg’s LBA Trigger System is user-adjustable from 3 to 7 pounds and there is a factory-mounted Picatinny rail for mounting your choice of optic to the rifle. In addition to this, there is front fiber optic and rear barrel-mounted, adjustable rifle sight. The MVP Patrol rifle also has a textured, black synthetic stock with stippling on the pistol grip, a matte blue finish on exposed metalwork, a fluted bolt and  sling swivel studs. The rifle ships with one 10-round capacity magazine.
