Mossberg MC2c Optics Ready

The MC2c Optic-Ready is Mossberg's latest addition to their family of MC2c pistols, with an optics-ready slide that allows easy direct mounting of a micro dot optic. The slide of the pistol is made from 416 stainless steel with Black DLC finish and features angled serrations for positive slide manipulation. The iron sights are dovetail mounted, and come standard in a low-profile, snag-free white 3-Dot configuration, with TRUGLO Tritium Pro night sights are an available option. Any optic with a Shield RMS footprint can be quickly added to the pistol and will co-witness with the built-in sights.

The frame of the MC2c Optic-Ready is a high-tensile strength glass-reinforced polymer with Mossberg’s signature aggressive grip texturing and palm swell that provides a confident, firm grip under a variety of conditions. There is also a short length of rail under the frame for mounting a light or other accessories.

By using slim profile double-stack magazines and an ergonomically-friendly design for the grip and palm swell, the MC2c strikes a balance between ease of concealment and comfortable shooting. Flush-fit 14-round or extended 16-round steel double-stack magazines are available, which feature high-visibility followers and easy-to-remove floorplates.

The flat-profile MC2c Trigger has an integrated blade safety, a short, tactile reset and reduced overtravel. It features a crisp, clean break and smooth take-up, with a trigger pull around 5.5 pounds. MC2c models have a reversible magazine release behind the trigger guard. A manual cross-bolt safety is also available as an option.

Unlike competing products, Mossberg’s innovative STSTM (Safe Takedown System) means the user is not required to pull the trigger in order to disassemble the handgun for routine cleaning and maintenance. The user unloads the firearm (removing the magazine, and clearing and locking the action open), and then removes the striker assembly prior to removing the slide.
