Military Armaments Corp. MAC IX

Military Armament Corporation, otherwise known as MAC, is part of the SDS Arms family and is now introducing the new MAC IX large-format pistol. This direct-blowback, semi-automatic firearm was designed in Knoxville, TN, and features an AR-style pistol grip and a Picatinny rail for easy optic mounting.

The MAC IX has AR-style quick takedown pins for easy disassembly, and there is an ambidextrous charging handle and an ergonomic paddle-style magazine catch for faster reloads. The grip is compatible with other AR-style grips, and the dust cover is spring loaded, just like it is on a AR-15. Up front, there is a threaded barrel and a tri-lug flash hider, allowing it to mount a wide range of muzzle devices. The front and rear sights are click-adjustable and can be removed if needed. The MAC IX has a short section of Picatinny rail at the rear for mounting accessories and uses MP5-compatible magazines.

Military Armament Corporation MAC IX Specifications:

  • Barrel length: 6.5 inches
  • Overall length: 15.97 inches
  • Weight: 80 ounces
  • T7075-T6 Aluminum receiver and upper
  • Full length Picatinny rail for optics mounting
