Mauser M18 Savannah

At the heart of the new Mauser M18 rifle is a German-manufactured, cold hammer forged steel barrel that is guaranteed to shoot sub-MOA groups. Like other M18 models, the Mauser M18 Savanna has an adjustable trigger that can range from 2 ¼ pounds to 4 ¼ pounds. This rifle ships with a staggered column five round detachable box magazine, but Mauser also has ten round magazines as well. Cartridges are fed into the breech via a 60 degree bolt with three oversized locking lugs and dual ejectors on the bolt face. Mauser M18 stocks ship with a removable butt pad that hides away an empty storage cavity inside of the stock’s butt. Shooters and hunters typically use this hollow cavity to store extra cartridges or a cleaning kit for their rifles.

“The new Mauser M18 Savanna presents the opportunity for even more American hunters to experience the benefits of German engineering and manufacturing,” said Jason Evans, CEO, Blaser Group. “This ultra-rugged rifle is a true value delivering superior reliability, durability, and accuracy in its class.”

The Mauser M18 Savanna comes with a tan stock that includes grip inserts, and its barrels are cut and threaded either with ½ inch x 28 TPI (threads per inch) or 9/16 inch x 24 TPI depending on the selected caliber. The threaded barrel and tan stock are the primary factors that differentiate it from its other M18 brethren, as this one is intended to be paired with some type of muzzle device such as a muzzle brake or a suppressor. Speaking of calibers, the Mauser M18 Savanna is available in a wide spectrum of cutting edge, popular, and classic rifle cartridges, such as:

  • .223 Remington
  • .243 Winchester
  • .270 Winchester
  • 6.5x55 mm Swedish
  • 6.5 PRC
  • 6.5 Creedmoor
  • .308 Winchester
  • .30-06 Springfield
