Heritage Manufacturing has just released a new lever action rifle, the Heritage Range Side. This classically styled lever action rifle is designed to handle 2½- and 3-inch, .410-bore shells of all types and is meant for a variety of field activities including small game hunting, pest control, plinking, etc. This rifle has a brass-bead front sight and adjustable tangent sights.

The Heritage Range Side is outfitted with a straight wristed “Western” stock and a fore-end that are both made from standard-grade Turkish walnut. For ease of cycling, the action’s lever loop is oversize and includes a braid of leather wrapped around the edge to not only add a little extra visual flair but to also cushion the firing hand as it rapidly toggles on the lever loop to cycle the action itself. In addition to the leather-wrapped trigger loop and Turkish Walnut furniture, Heritage Manufacturing has three different metal finish options available for the Range Side: nickel plating, standard bluing and case hardening. Shells are loaded into a side gate into an internal tubular magazine and the Range Side has an exposed hammer, which makes it easier to thumb-cock or lower the hammer.
