Summer is right around the corner, and that means that temperatures will soon be soaring to new heights. Now is the time to start thinking about hot-weather carry options, and Galco has an entire collection devoted to warm weather carry, with an emphasis on pocket carry.

Pocket carry has some unique advantages, especially in the summer months. Even very light clothing is enough to completely cover and conceal a handgun, yet still keep it ready for use in a moment’s notice. With a gun in a pocket holster, even in just shorts and a t-shirt, you can casually place a hand on the holstered/pocketed pistol if a nonspecific threat appears.

A pocket holster keeps the firearm in the same general position so you can quickly locate the grip when you need to draw, conceals the shape of the gun so that its outline doesn’t print through the pants, and allows the one-handed release of your gun from both pocket and holster.

Galco has a long history with pocket holsters, starting with the Front Pocket Holster design, which is constructed of extremely durable and non-porous horsehide, while the Pocket Protector is made of Premium Center Cut steerhide and is reinforced at the holster mouth.

The new StukOn-U holster uses a synthetic exterior to help grab the inside of the pocket, closed-cell foam substrate for shape and sturdiness, and 420 denier packcloth lining to protect your gun that’s protecting your life.

Galco hasn't neglected the need to carry spare ammunition, either. Revolver carriers can easily slip the E-Z Loader into a pocket, which carries six extra revolver cartridges in a rubberized strip. The PMC (Pocket Magazine Carrier) is made of Premium Center Cut Steerhide, and lets people who carry a semi-automatic pack an extra magazine so it is ready for instant deployment.
