Franklin Armory is releasing the new Franklin Armory AR Essential Binary trigger for AR-15 and AR-10 pattern firearms. Franklin Armory created the new AR Essential Binary trigger to serve as a budget-friendly alternative to its top-of-the line AR Elite Binary trigger, which retails for $429. The new AR Essential Binary trigger, on the other hand has a retail price of $299, $130 less than the AR Elite trigger. The AR Essential features a single-side safety and selector and the standard curved trigger bow found in standard mil-spec AR-15 pattern triggers.

All Franklin Binary triggers use a switch or selector with three different positions, “safe”, “semi” and “binary.” When the safety selector is in the third (binary) position, Franklin Armory trigger units will cause the firearm to fire another round as soon as the trigger is reset and released from its rearmost position. It does so without any mechanical or permanent modification to the host firearm itself.

Franklin Armory AR Essential Binary Trigger Features:

  • Easy to install
  • Positive reset on release
  • “Second” round can be canceled by simply moving the selector away from binary more while holding the trigger back
  • Works in most AR platforms and caliber including 5.56 NATO, .308 Win, .300 BLK, 9mm, rimfire, etc.
  • Compatible with most bolt carrier groups (BCGs)
  • Curved trigger profile

“Our new AR Essential Binary trigger provides dealers with a lower priced option for introducing customers to the Franklin Armory Binary Firing System experience, “said Franklin Armory Jay Jacodson. “Simultaneously, we were also able to produce a more affordable Binary trigger for AR traditionalists who prefer the look and operation of a mil-spec style safety selector.”
