First Look: Evoke Rifles from Christensen Arms

Christensen Arms Evoke rifles

Christensen Arms is introducing the Evoke line, an all-new suite of rifles designed to provide both beginner and seasoned shooters with a versatile, feature-rich entry point into the lineup of Christensen Arms’ legendary rifles. All rifles in the Evoke line have a 416R stainless steel #4 contour precision barrel with Cerakote finish. The end of the barrel as an RFR muzzle brake and is threaded for use with other muzzle devices. The three-lug bolts inside the proprietary action have a 60-degree throw for fast cycling, and the TriggerTech trigger is adjustable for weight. There is a section of Picatinny rail on top of the receiver for mounting an optic, and the magazine is detachable for fast reloads. The weight of the base Evoke and Evoke Mossy Oak is 7 pounds, 11 ounces, while the weight of the Evoke Hunter is 8 pounds, 2 ounces. The Evoke Precision weighs 8 pounds, 6 ounces.  

The Evoke Hunter and Evoke Mossy Oak are currently available in the following calibers, barrel lengths and twist rates.

  • .243 Win., with a 20-inch barrel and a 1:8-inch twist rate
  • 6.5 Creedmoor with a 20-inch barrel and a 1:8-inch twist rate
  • 6.5 PRC with a 22-inch barrel and a 1:8-inch twist rate
  • .270 Win. with a 22-inch barrel and a 1:7.5-inch twist rate
  • 7mm Rem. Mag. with a 22-inch barrel and a 1:9-inch twist rate
  • .308 WIN with a 20-inch barrel and a 1:10-inch twist rate
  • .30-'06 Sprg. with a 22-inch barrel and a 1:10-inch twist rate
  • .300 Win Mag with a 22-inch barrel and a 1:10-inch twist rate

Other calibers coming later this year for the Evoke and Evoke Mossy Oak include:

  • 7mm PRC with a 22-inch barrel and a 1:8-inch twist rate
  • 300 PRC with a 22-inch barrel and a 1:7-inch twist rate
  • .350 Legend with an 18-inch barrel and a 1:16-inch twist rate

The Evoke Hunter and Evoke Precision rifles are available in the following calibers:

  • 6.5 Creedmoor, with a 20-inch barrel and a 1:8-inch twist rate
  • 6.5 PRC, with a 22-inch barrel and a 1:8-inch twist rate
  • .308 Win., with a 20-inch barrel and a 1:10-inch twist rate
  • .300 Win. Mag., with a 22-inch barrel and a 1:10-inch twist rate

A 7mm PRC option with a 22-inch barrel and a 300 PRC option with a 22-inch barrel will be available for the Evoke Hunter and Evoke Precision later this year.
