Adding to its collection of all US-made knifes, firearms and components for 2018, DoubleStar launched its Brimstone Folding Knife as a durable, dependable, daily carry folding blade designed to tackle countless everyday tasks without fail. The knife is a result of collaboration between DoubleStar and Mike Vellekamp of V Nives, who has more than 25 years of experience in producing quality carry knives.

“Mike has worked with some of the best knife companies in our industry, including Spyderco, Blade-Tech, 5.11 Tactical and as an owner and co-founder of FOX Knives," said Robert Cabrera, director and designer of DoubleStar's edged weapons division. "He is truly passionate about knife design and has provided his genius to the development of many edged tools throughout his illustrious career. It is truly an honor to work with him on the Brimstone Folding Knife for our customers."

Designed to provide consumers with a high-quality blade at an affordable price, the DoubleStar Brimstone Folding Knife features the kind of custom features normally found on special blades from niche companies, and those custom features usually come with a high price tag or an extended waiting period. The Brimstone offers custom-quality design, materials and features to fit the average budget.

The blade on the Brimstone is constructed from durable D2 tool steel, renowned for its ability to hold a sharp edge. Blade length measures 3.5 inches and can be had with a satin-steel or all-black coated finish. The grips on the knife are machined from G10 fiberglass-laminate material, which allows for aggressive texturing for a solid, secure grip and is also impervious to penetration from moisture, oils and chemicals.

The knife features a liner made from solid steel, and a liner lock keeps the blade locked solidly into its deployed position. The overall length of the Brimstone measures 8 inches, and the blade weight is 3.4 ounces. The suggested retail price on the DoubleStar Brimstone Folding Knife is $74.99.
