Dead Air Silencers is bringing their much-awaited proprietary suppressor to market, designed for the .223 Remington, 5.56mm, and .224 Valkyrie spectrum of rifle cartridges. The new suppressor, the Sierra-5, is now shipping to stocking dealers.

According to Dear Air Silencers Co-Founder Mike Pappas, the Sierra-5 5.56mm suppressor is a scratch built, ground up design effort. “It sounds amazing. It is lightweight and has uncompromising durability for the professional. We feel this combination alone will appeal to hunters and tactical shooters alike,” Pappas said.

Given its size, the Sierra-5 5.56mm suppressor can be called a “minimalist” suppressor. Its weight lingers on the lighter side, while retaining a smaller footprint. Despite this, the Sierra-5 is still compatible with Dead Air’s R-Series front caps and is also HUB compatible, offering a multitude of mounting options. Stellite baffles and a stainless steel body construction make the Sierra-5 a suppressor that is suitable for hard use and sustained or fully automatic firing situations. Stellite is an extremely resistant cobalt alloy dating back to the Second World War and was used as a material to amplify the lifespan of Browning M2 .50 BMG machinegun barrels. Furthermore, the robust construction of the Dead Air Sierra-5 also means that this suppressor does not require any specific firearm barrel lengths for safe use. The Sierra-5 is also available with either KeyMo or Xeno mounting systems from the factory.
