Columbia River Knife & Tool (CRKT) has announced the release of two new collaborative knives produced in conjunction with famed knife designer Ken Onion. Both of these new “Facet” folding knives, the Rivet and the Viral, include Mr. Onion’s timeless design cues. In addition to this, both knives incorporate high grade Bohler M930 blade steel, titanium handles and IKBS bearings for smooth and rapid blade deployment.

“A stalwart Ken Onion design, the new Facet knives are both elegant and extremely functional, and are a true testament to our shared vision of what a premium pocket knife should be,” said Doug Flagg, VP of Marketing and Innovation for CRKT. “Bringing high end materials, fit and finish into one of our tried and true designs represents the continued evolution of the CRKT brand and we think consumers will really like the end result.”

Both of these limited edition knives are crafted in Italy and have details and cues that are typically found in more custom grade blades. The Rivet knife is festooned with a Second World War machinery inspired rivet pattern on the handle that evokes images of propeller-driven fighters and bombers. The Viral knife, on the other hand, has an inorganic yet angular post-apocalyptic rugged handle. Both of these knives, like their original production models, also feature a subtle taper of the handle that flows into the satin finished blades.
