Bear Creek BC-9 Large Format Pistol

Bear Creek Arsenal has just unveiled a new buffer-less side charging 9mm large-format pistol, the new BC-9.

The Bear Creek BC-9 buffer-less, large-format pistol that is loosely based on the AR-15 pattern and layout. Because it is chambered in 9mm, this large-format pistol works off a blowback mechanism rather than direct-gas impingement and does not require the traditional AR-15 pattern buffer-tube and receiver-extension set up. Moreover, due to its buffer-less system, this pistol has a “clean” back end, which eliminates any confusion or ambiguity as its design as a full-on pistol. Such a clear distinction is of value to the customer.

The Bear Creek Arsenal BC-9 pistol is built around a 5-inch, 9mm barrel surrounded by an M-Lok compatible mini-handguard and topped with a section of Picatinny rail. The lower receiver is machined from billet and instead of the traditional rear located AR charging handle, the charging handle on the BC-9 is located on the right side of the upper receiver.
