The latest US introduction from Brugger & Thomet is the Special Purpose Rifle (SPR) 300, which is designed to be one of the quietest bolt-action rifles on the market, as well as one of the most compact.

The SPR300 is chambered for both .300 BLK and .300 Whisper and is constructed with an integral suppressor, as well as a fully adjustable folding stock and a quick-detach bipod. The rifle is designed for use with subsonic ammo and can provide maximum accuracy up to 165 yards, according to the company.

The integrated suppressor, which can be easily removed from the barrel and replaced without losing zero, is designed to reduce the noise of the rifle shot down to 121 decibels, as well as eliminate any muzzle flash.

The company includes a small Discreet Carry Bag with the rifle, and the entire platform, including optic, can be broken down and carried in a small bag. The bag also fits the gun's two 10-round magazines, as well as other pistol-grip modules, QD sling and cleaning kit. All of these accessories are included with the rifle. When it comes to optic choices, B&T USA offers a number of included optics choices for the gun, all designed for use with the .300 BLK and .300 Whisper rounds.

The rifle itself is constructed with an aircraft-grade aluminum receiver, designed to provide users with the lightest weight rifle that still features durability and accuracy. The gun uses a three-position safety, a single-stage trigger, a Picatinny accessory rail, cocked bolt indicator and a pistol grip that includes a number of palm and finger inserts to perfectly mold the grip to a shooter's hand.

The rifle features a total barrel length of 9.8 inches, and the barrel features a 1:8 rate of twist. The rifle uses SIG Sauer 550-style magazines, and 10- and 20-round magazines are available. The magazines are built from a translucent polymer for easy checking of remaining rounds.

The total length of the rifle when fully extended is approximately 40.2 inches. When the stock is collapsed, the rifle measures a total length of 30 inches. Fully taken down with the suppressor removed, the entire rifle can fit into a space 16.1 inches long.

The B&T USA SPR300 is available in both coyote tan and black finishes. The suggested retail price on the gun is $5,500.
