ATN Corp has recently launched the new Xcelsior day and night vision scope, designed to help outdoorsmen find and hit their target during times of challenging lighting conditions.

From the outside, the new ATN Crop Xcelsior night vision scope has a traditional riflescope design with a 30mm main tube in order to make firearms mounting to scope rings or bases straightforward. In addition, at only 1.7 pounds the Xcelsior won’t weigh you down, and a fully battery charge has a runtime of 10 hours.

Internally, this night vision scope relies on a highly sensitive nighttime sensor with 2688x1944 of pixels behind it. This critical component facilitates image detection even during the most light-challenged scenarios. Beyond the nighttime sensor, the Xcelsior night vision scope also has a 1280-pixel high-definition display that provides crisp details and a high degree of clarity in any less-than-ideal light situation. Further bolstering the Xcelsior’s ability to “see in the dark” is the included long-range, high-powered IR (infrared) illuminator that ATN includes in the box. Even though this unit is separate from the scope, it is meant to work in conjunction and can be useful when looking for a target in complete darkness.

The onboard electronics found in the ATN Corp Xcelsior allow hunters to carry out tasks such as recording video and use the device’s built-in rangefinder. Shooters also have the option of cycling through different reticle choices to best suit their shooting needs at hand. The different types of available reticles include ballistically compensated predator reticles along with more traditional options such as the classic mil-dot or “duplex” style reticle.
