Created by Angstadt Arms as part of a recent government to supply the U.S. military with an ultra-compact and portable 9mm submachine, the new SCW stock is now available to the civilian market. The goal of the Angstadt Arms Sub Compact Weapon (SCW) system was to create a firearm capable of “engaging threat personnel with a high volume of lethal force while accurately firing at close range with minimal collateral damage” using a platform that offers greater effective range than a pistol but is much more concealable than a rifle.

The SCW stock helps accomplish this goal by being on of the shortest-length AR-compatible stock on the market today. The stock features a collapsed length of just 2.5 inches, allowing your rifle to travel inside smaller, more discreet bags for situations that call for a lower-profile presence. The stock is available in 5.56 NATO, .300 Blackout and 9 mm configurations and has a unique upper receiver single rail system.

Unlike other PDW stocks, the single rail on the SCW stock is positioned alongside the upper receiver, which provides added clearance above the safety selector switch for faster fire control manipulation and safer use. The SCW deploys fast: Just grab the stock and pull back. No buttons need to be pressed, and no levers need to be flipped.

The SCW stock will be available only as a collapsible rifle stock by the end of Q1, and should only be attached to an ATF approved short barrel rifle (SBR) or a full size rifle with a 16-inch barrel. A pistol-brace version is under development and will be released at a later date. MSRP on the new stock is still TBD.

More information on the SCW rifle stock is available at angstadtarms.com.
