AGM is releasing the long-awaited VarmintV2 LRF line of thermal scopes. The VarmintV2 LRF line brings many of the improvements that users desired in their first ever LRF thermal riflescope series, the Varmint LRF series. The most notable of those upgrades include an on-board ballistic calculator, an upgrade to a new sub-20mk 12 micron thermal sensor and recoil-activated video with audio and a completely new user interface.

The VarmintV2 LRF scopes are very similar in appearance to the original Varmint LRF scopes. This helps the unit maintain its compact and lightweight size, as well as its reliance on a single, removable and rechargeable 18650 battery. Coming in at less than 9 inches long and weighing just 1.3 pounds, the VarmintV2 LRF scopes leave plenty of rail space on your rifle while keeping weight down in the event that a suppressor or external battery pack is being used.

The VarmintV2 LRF family has four different lens/sensor configurations:

  • 35mm lens with a 384/12 micron/sub-20mk sensor with a 3X base magnification
  • 50mm lens with a 384/12 micron/sub-20mk sensor with a 4.5X base magnification
  • 35mm lens with a 640/12 micron/sub-20mk sensor with a 2X base magnification
  • 50mm lens with a 640/12 micron/sub-20mk sensor with a 2.5X base magnification

The advanced firmware suite inside the VarmintV2 LRF has all the functionality that users have come to know and expect from AGM, such as:

  • Multiple color palettes
  • Selectable reticles
  • Multiple zeroing profiles
  • One-shot zeroing with freeze function
  • Multiple viewing modes
  • Image customization settings
  • 600 yards of laser range finding capability
  • 5 to 6 hours of continuous battery life on a single charge (two batteries included)
  • WiFi hotspot
  • 16GB of internal media storage
  • AGM App compatibility

In addition, the scopes in the Varmint2 LRF line are protected by AGM’s industry-leading customer service and a 5-year transferrable warranty. More information on these new thermal scopes and other optics from AGM is available at agmglobalvision.com.
