Bushnell announced the launch of four new optics in 2017 designed specifically for the AR platform, giving owners of America's most popular modern sporting rifle a chance to outfit their guns with optics that will improve their capabilities.
"We looked at the most popular trends in AR rifles today and then set out to craft optical solutions that meet the demands placed on those guns by serious shooters," said AR Optics line manager Bryan Parrish. "These optics are built to perform at any level, yet won’t break the bank."
The first new optic from the company is the Bushnell AR Optics 4.5-18x40 riflescope, designed with the new DropZone reticle designed specifically for the 6.5 Creedmoor round. This reticle provides shooters with bullet-drop compensation aiming points out to 600 yards. The optic also features turrets built with tactical use in mind, enabling users to make quick adjustments easily. The scope also features a parallax-adjustment knob and multi-coated lenses designed to provide owners with a clear sight picture at any range. The scope is built on a 1-inch tube constructed from aircraft-grade aluminum. The suggested retail price on the AR 6.5 Creedmoor is $323.45.
The next new optic in the Bushnell AR Optics lineup is the 1-4x24 illuminated optic designed with .300 BLK in mind. The company also incorporated its DropZone reticle into this new optic, which features holdover points found in the first focal plane which acts as a red-dot at lower magnification and gives users accurate aiming points out to 300 yards with the optic on its highest level of magnification. The scope also incorporates the company's Throwdown power-charge lever, ensuring that users can quickly change magnification when needed. The suggested retail price on the AR300 is $386.95.
Bushnell also introduced its new AR Optics Accelerate 4x Prism Scope, which is designed to offer AR owners an optic that features the compact size and lightweight construction of a red-dot while providing them with magnification usually found on larger riflescopes. The prism scope is designed with the company's BTR-3 reticle, which features a circle and a red dot for rapid target acquisition, as well as MIL-based holdover points for longer shots. The reticle can be illuminated in either red or green with five different brightness intensities. The AR Accelerate retails at a suggested price of $349.99.
The final introduction in the Bushnell AR Optics lineup is the company's Transition 3x Magnifier, which is designed to be easily mounted behind a red-dot optic to provide increased range and target-identification capabilities while being able to easily move out of the way when close-up work is needed. The magnifier is designed to be waterproof, fogproof and shockproof and features multi-coated optics for image clarity. The Bushnell AR 3x Magnifier retails at a suggested price of $258.95.
