Federal took its proven Expanding Full Metal Jacket (EFMJ) bullets, gave them a nickel coating and stuffed them in nickel cases for slick feeding. This is one of the most reliably expanding defensive handgun bullets ever designed. It works by forcing the bullet jacket to flatten over a polymer ball inserted inside the nose of the bullet. Penetration is moderate, making this a good load for use either outdoors or inside your home.
