The AR-15 is one of America’s most-popular rifles. Easy to control, accurate and easy to shoot, it rewards a dedicated user with a shooting experience few other rifles can match. One of the keys to mastering the AR-15, however, is consistent grip with every shot. For many owners of AR-pattern guns, this means placing a hand stop or forward grip on the handguard of their guns. The Picatinny rail system has long been the standard method of attaching accessories to an AR-pattern gun. However, Magpul’s M-Lok system is now becoming more and more accepted by the firearms community.

Now Samson Manufacturing has released its new Low-Profile M-Lok Hand Stop that is contoured to provide a more comfortable interface with your hand and help you keep a consistent grip on the front of your firearm. The minimalist design of the stop means it takes up less space on your handguard of your gun, but it still gives the user all the features they need to maintain a consistent grip with the front hand. The hand stop can be installed facing forward to pull the firearm in closer for better control, or installed face rearward to prevent your hand from sliding forward on firearms that have shorter length handguards.

Features:

  • Textured face to prevent hand from slipping
  • Install face forward to pull firearm in closer for better control
  • Install face rearward to prevent hand from sliding forward on firearms with shorter handguards
  • Precision CNC machined
  • Material: 6061-T6 Aluminum
  • Finish: Type III, class 2 anodized finish
  • Length: 1.13 inches
  • Width: 0.66 inches
  • Height: 1.37 inches
  • Weight: 0.6 ounces

The Low-Profile M-LOK Hand Stop has an MSRP of $24.95. For more information on this item and gear from Samson Manufacturing, please visit samson-mfg.com.

New Pistol Suppressors for 2025

We hear you (pun intended)! This year, we are reporting manufacturer’s sound-reduction rating where available. Now, not every manufacturer makes that information publicly available, so you’ll see a fair number of “N/As” where no decibel-reduction numbers were provided, but rest assured that, despite what you might think, the noise-reduction rating is one of the least important factors when choosing a new suppressor (more on that in a future article).
