In recent years, the butterfly knife has become a popular carry knife for many Americans. Butterfly knives have handles that rotate around the tang of the knife and conceal the blade when they’re closed. Now Bear OPS, the professional-grade brand of knives produced by Bear & Son Cutlery, is introducing a new Kimura butterfly knife with natural G10 handles, the model BCC907.

Bear OPS worked with Bradley Cutlery Co., who designed the original Kimura butterfly, to create the new Kimura butterfly knives and bring this legendary name back to market. New for 2020, Bear OPS is releasing the BCC907 with the same quality, design and smooth flipping action the Kimura is known for, but with new natural G10 handles.

The Model BCC907 knife from Bear Ops features a tough, 3¾-inch 154CM steel blade that has a 58-60 Rockwell hardness, an exquisite bead-blast finish and a sturdy taper-ground edge. The handles are 3D-milled from stainless steel and have contoured natural G10 handles for a positive ergonomic grip. Premium pivot bearings ensure smooth, "no slop" deployment from a 5 3/8-inch closed to 9-inch open length. A matching stainless-steel T-latch keeps the Kimura secure in its closed or open positions. Total weight of the Bear OPS Kimura butterfly knife with G10 handles is 6.1 ounces.
