SilencerCo is known for making first-rate suppressors for pistols, rifles and shotguns, as well as the Maxim 9, a pistol with the suppressor built right into the gun. Now the company is turning its attention to individual gun parts, and has come out with the Silencer Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group for AR-15 pattern firearms chambered in either .223 Rem./5.56 NATO or 300 Blackout.

The SilencerCo Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group is made from case-hardened 8620 steel and is designed for shooters who demand superior performing weapon components in their firearm. The carrier assembly of the enhanced bolt carrier group has a flared rear is designed to reduce carrier tilt and cant during recoil and increases reliability by relocating key bearing surfaces.

The bolt carrier group (BCG) has fewer points of contact than a standard BCG, which results in less friction area inside the upper receiver. The increase in mass of the BCG ensures proper pressures and increases dwell time, thus improving extraction when shooting suppressed or short-barreled rifles (SBRs).

The bolt assembly of the Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group is true mil-spec dimension and the external surfaces are CNC ground after heat treatment for precise fit. The “trumpet” area behind the gas rings, where carbon normally collects, is precision machined after heat treatment to ensure as smooth of an area as possible, easing clean up and ensuring longevity. Constructed to the highest tolerances, the bolt portion of the Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group is made from 9310 Case Hardened Steel, and the bolt components are Shot Peened and coated in Black Nitride.
