The Smith & Wesson Performance Center has introduced a full line of Performance Center M&P M2.0 pistols with a variety of competition-ready enhancements. Chambered in 9 mm and .40 S&W, the new Performance Center M&P M2.0 pistols are available with either a 4.25- or 5-inch barrel in a variety of configurations. The pistols include, depending on model, a variety of features, including ported barrels and slides, fiber-optic sights and slides designed for use with reflex pistol optics.

“Performance Center M&P M2.0 pistols were designed with the competitive shooter in mind and are packed with features for the competitive shooter,” said Tony Miele, senior director for new products and performance center for Smith & Wesson. “For those looking to mount an optic on their pistol without custom work, the new C.O.R.E. pistols have slides cut for optics straight from the factory and will support the majority of popular pistol reflex sights on the market.”

There are three categories of the handguns available, with a variety of options in each. The Performance Center M&P M2.0 Competition Optics Ready (CORE) models, for example, come with three-dot sights, but feature an optics-ready slide and mounting kit. The tuned action has a tactile and audible trigger reset and an adjustable overtravel stop. MSRP begins at $700.

Ported M&P M2.0 Pistol versions from the Performance Center don’t have the C.O.R.E. features to quickly mount optics, but a ported barrel and slide provides fast follow-up shots and great looks. It comes with adjustable fiber-optic sights and all the other features and options common to the series. MSRP starts at $700.

The Ported M&P M2.0 C.O.R.E. Pistols combine the ease of mounting reflex sights with the porting. MSRP begins at $714.

In addition, the Performance Center M&P M2.0 pistols ship with two full-size magazines, C.O.R.E. models will include mounting plates for the most popular reflex sights and all models include a Performance Center-branded Tipton Compact Pistol Cleaning Kit.
