First Look: SIG Sauer P320 X-Series TXG Grip Module

SIG Sauer is introducing its new P320 XSeries TXG Tungsten Infused Grip Module, available now for SIG Sauer P320 Pistols. Developed through a proprietary process invented by SIG Sauer engineers, the TXG grip module infuses tungsten into the polymer material of the grip to provide the weight of steel with the flex of polymer.

“The new P320 TXG Grip Module is significant leap forward in innovation for polymer pistols, and an exciting addition for factory-direct accessories for the P320,” said Tom Taylor, chief marketing officer and executive cice president, commercial sales, SIG Sauer, Inc. “This innovative grip module can be easily installed on any existing P320 XFive or P320 Full-Size pistol, increasing the weight by over 8 ounces, which helps to reduce muzzle flip by almost 50 percent.”

The TXG Grip Module includes enhancements found on the P320 XSeries enhancements, such as a generous trigger undercut and a high beavertail, allowing for a higher grip and better recoil control. The patent-pending process used to develop the grip module mixes tungsten and polymer, resulting in an overall weight of 16.6 ounces for the P320 Full Size grip, which includes the removable grip weight and magwell. These features combine to give the P320 XSeries TXG grip the weight of steel frame but still allow you still have the flex and comfort of a polymer grip.

In addition to this standalone grip module, SIG Sauer also released its P320 XFive Legion as a complete firearm incorporating this revolutionary TXG grip module. The full story on the XFive Legion can be found in this Shooting Illustrated article here.
