The 2019 NRA Personal Protection Expo takes place in Ft. Worth, Texas, from Sept. 6-8, 2019 and provides defense-minded citizens with a three-day event filled with seminars and workshops focused on personal protection and concealed carry. In addition to these limited educational opportunities, the Personal Protection Expo also includes an exhibit hall where attendees can see firearms, ammo and accessories designed to enhance their personal-defense kit. Tickets are on sale starting July 4, 2019, and discounts are available for NRA members.

A varied number of seminars and workshops are available for 2019 attendees, covering a range of topics relevant to today's armed citizen. Running all three days of the expo are several educational opportunities focusing on the understanding and incorporation of edged weapons in an everyday-carry kit, as well as seminars focused on general personal-protection strategies and mindset. The seminars also highlight some of the realities of carrying on a daily basis, such as difficulties encountered when carrying, the science of a handgun draw and interaction with law-enforcement officers.

In addition to the general seminars, there are also limited-availability, fee-based workshops that provide an opportunity for attendees to have an enhanced learning experience. Lt. Col. Dave Grossman is back in 2019 with his "Bullet Proof Mind for the Armed Citizen," and there are also opportunities to learn first-care provider skills, edged-weapons use, armorer's courses for Glock and SIG Sauer handguns and an NRA instructor course on the "Refuse to Be a Victim" program. Tickets can be purchased at the link HERE, and more information about the NRA Personal Protection Expo can be found at the expo's website here: nrapersonalprotectionexpo.com.
